I'm just back from a glorious morning hike up Runyon Canyon and it's a beautiful December day. I've not been to Runyon this time in the morning before and it was like rush hour dog city.
But speaking about it being busy up there, on Tuesday this week there was a huge film crew from Universal Pictures filming the new Adam Sandler comedy - Funny People.
It was a big crew and we actually walked through all the catering trucks, lighting rigs, white screens and cameras whilst they were filming, as I assume they can't close Runyon Canyon because it is a public park. They were shooting at the top of the canyon where they had a view of the Hollywood Sign across the way.
The movie which is apparently out in July 2009 stars Adam Sandler (The Wedding Singer), Seth Rogen (Knocked Up) and Leslie Mann (The 40 Year Old Virgin), so I was just a few steps away from some of these Hollywood actors.
I took some pictures from a distance as I was afraid to whip out my camera whilst I was walking by in case security escorted me down the hillside.
I'm usually not that much of a fan of comedies, but maybe I'll have to go see this one to see if Cooper or I has a cameo role.
And if that chance at fame isn't enough, here's your opportunity to help my blog get the recognition I believe it deserves. You may have noticed the new 'Blogger's Choice Awards' buttons in the top left hand corner of my blog.
If you enjoy what I do, PLEASE VOTE for Jason in Hollywood in one of four categories:
- Best Animal Blogger (obviously that's where our lovely Labrador pup comes into things)
- Best Travel Blog (exploring L.A. and Southern California's famous landmarks and places of interest, plus recommendations on where to eat)
- Best Entertainment Blog (movie reviews, celebrity sightings and film costumes & props)
- Best Blog About Stuff (my day to day life as a house-husband here in L.A.).
I know it's never as simple as clicking a button, but if you could spare the time and effort to vote that would be much appreciated!
Vote for one category or vote for them all, it's your call...
