Apocalypse Hollywood Now or helicopters over movieland...

Looking like a scene right out of Apocalypse Now I watched last Thursday as six army helicopters flew overhead, whilst I was walking Cooper at Runyon Canyon, and swooped down low over the Hollywood Sign.

In recent weeks there seems to have been an increased military helicopter presence in the skies over L.A., so either they are filming a new movie here, or just like in an episode of 24 they are foiling some dastardly terrorist plot.

Or they could simply be doing military maneuvers, who knows? Anyway, I thought it would make for a good blog entry and you never know in a couple of months time when you're at the cinema and see some helicopters hovering over the Hollywood Sign, you'll know you saw it first here at Jason in Hollywood.

They seemed to do the fly over at least twice whilst I was there and if they were filming, I bet they were wishing for the clouds to disappear and the sun to come shining through.

That's why it always pays to have a camera in your pocket in L.A. as you never know quite what you'll see next...
