In addition to the fantastic cars from the Fast & Furious movies, you can also find other movie props and costumes on display at Universal Studios Hollywood.
1973 Best Picture Oscar for The Sting
on display at Universal Studios Hollywood
As regular visitors to Jason in Hollywood will known I like to get a glimpse of all the juicy behind-the-scenes sights and sounds I can, so here is the first in a three part installment of fabulous movie memorabilia for you to enjoy...
This is the actual jacket worn by Anthony Perkins as Norman Bates in Alfred Hitchcock's 1960 horror movie Psycho, plus an original stuffed owl movie prop.
Back to the Future
These are miniature models used in the special effects for the Back to the Future movie franchise (the third installment I believe). Above is the modified steam train from the old wild west and below is the infamous time-traveling DeLorean car.
Above and below is the original 'Mule' transport from Joss Whedon's sci-fi 'western in space' movie Serenity, which was the follow up to short-lived (but intriguing) Firefly TV series.
The Mummy and The Mummy Returns
This is the movie costume for Rachel Weisz character, Evelyn Carnahan, and props from the first film in The Mummy franchise, whilst below is the 'Dusenberg' car from The Mummy Returns sequel.
Above is the Apollo 13 space capsule from Ron Howard's 1995 movie about the aborted lunar landing in 1971, based on the true story events of the crew, mission control and their families.
Below is the actual space flight suit worn by Tom Hanks, playing Jim Lovell, in the movie.
And here are the rest of the crew all suited up, and me along for the ride.
The Bourne Identity and Bourne Ultimatum
Here I am with the vintage red Austin Mini-Cooper driven by Matt Damon through Paris in The Bourne Identity and the Honda motorcycle from the car chase scene through Tangier in the third film in the franchise, The Bourne Ultimatum.
And last but not least for today, here's a picture of the Wisteria Lane where the TV series Desperate Housewives is filmed. They had a closed set for the filming during our Studio Tour of the Universal backlot.
Come back tomorrow for more great movie costumes and props including: more Coraline stop-motion models, original Frost/Nixon, Bridget Jones and Mamma Mia costumes, King Kong models and classic E.T. props.
See you then movie fans...
