Golden Globe Award nominations and predictions for 2009...

This year the Golden Globe Awards take place on Sunday 17th January and 2009 was a fantastic year for film and TV so I think it's going to be an interesting ceremony.

Just for the sheer hell of it, here are the nominations and my predictions (or at least those I want to win) for the 67th Golden Globe Awards.

BEST MOTION PICTURE: DRAMA

Nominees: Avatar, The Hurt Locker, Inglourious Basterds, Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire and Up in the Air.

Nominees: Matt Damon (The Informant), Daniel Day-Lewis (Nine), Robert Downey Jr. (Sherlock Holmes), Joseph Gordon-Levitt (500 Days of Summer) and Michael Stuhlbarg (A Serious Man).

I've not seen any of the Foreign Language Film category so can't even guess at a winner there.

BEST MINI-SERIES/FILM MADE FOR TV: Little Dorrit
BEST ACTRESS: MINI-SERIES/FILM MADE FOR TV: Sigourney Weaver (Prayers for Bobby)
BEST ACTOR: MINI-SERIES/FILM MADE FOR TV: Chiwetel Ejiofor (Endgame)
BEST SUPPORTING ACTRESS: Jane Lynch (Glee)
BEST SUPPORTING ACTOR: Michael Emerson (Lost)

So there you have my predictions for the awards. Let's see how many I get right on the night...
