Today I bet hundreds of Hollywood starlets, stylists, publicists and designers are hoping for clear skies tomorrow at the 82nd Annual Academy Awards.
For the crews working behind-the-scenes at the Oscars today outside the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland, they have thunderstorms and heavy rain showers to contend with as they put the finishing touches to the set up for the industry's most prestigious event of the year.
In the rain this morning film crews prepped lighting and interviewing positions using stand-ins for the Oscar nominated actors and actresses attending the glamourous event tomorrow.
Let's hope the Red Carpet arrivals are not as wet as the Golden Globes were this year, as the frock parade is one of the highlights Oscars ceremony.
It's been a fantastic year for film and there have been a a few changes to the Oscars this year with the ten Best Picture nominees including more populist movies, so for the record here are my predictions for the main Oscar categories (although not all necessarily who I want to win):
Best Picture: The Hurt Locker
Actress in a Leading Role: Sandra Bullock (The Blind Side)
Actor in a Leading Role: Jeff Bridges (Crazy Heart)
Supporting Actor: Christoph Waltz (Inglourious Basterds)
Supporting Actress: Mo'Nique (Precious)
Animated Feature Film: Up
Directing: James Cameron (Avatar)
Writing (Original Screenplay): The Hurt Locker
Writing (Adapted Screenplay): Up in the Air
Documentary (Feature): The Cove
Music (Original Score): Up
Let's wait and see what tomorrow will bring. Hopefully some dazzling sunshine, fabulous dresses and worthy Oscar winners.
And the Oscar goes to...
