I'm really not a huge fan of watching comedies at the cinema, but I can safely say that Bridesmaids is the funniest laugh-out-loud movie I've seen for years. And what's more it has heart and a storyline with genuine characters and emotions, and even the toilet and sexual humour is more subtle than over the top vulgar.
Bridesmaids really is four **** star funny and it really benefits from having female writers and great performances by an intriguing and strong (yet not high-profile) female cast to set it apart from other comedies.
Kristin Wiig really stands out as the star of this movie, and she cleverly co-wrote it too, plus she's ably assisted by another break-out character, that of 'Megan' (played by Mike & Molly's Melissa McCarthy).
When party favours at a wedding are cute yellow Labrador puppies you know you're on to a good thing.
I haven't laughed this hard in ages, it's hilarious, and I whole-heartedly recommend you go see it...
