Queen's Jubilee spirit lives in West Hollywood...

Even though we may not be in Britain to enjoy the Queen's Diamond Jubilee festivities, being Brits abroad we thought it was our duty to introduce our West Hollywood friends to jugs of Pimms, cucumber sandwiches and a right royal toast to Her Majesty.

On our trip back to the U.K. in May I saw firsthand the Queen's Jubilee fever all over the country, so even though we won't get to enjoy the extra day off that our British friends and family will, we couldn't let the occasion go uncelebrated.

I think we may actually get to enjoy more sunshine here in California though, as it seems typical that the rain and bad weather has ruined another Bank Holiday break.

Hopefully it won't dampen Jubilee spirits too much and a bit of British resolve and ingenuity (and a good umbrella) will help save all those picnics in the park.

Look at us, we didn't have any corgis to hand but Cooper played the role of royal hound marvelously and we had our Union Jack bunting flown in especially.

We'll try and send some sunshine your way Britain.

Long live the queens...
