Eye-catching TV and movie billboards around L.A. in November...

Wow, is it the end of November already? The skies of L.A. have certainly been chock full of billboards in 2012 and November has been no exception, especially when it comes to television and movie billboards.

TV billboards
Giant Liz Dick Lifetime billboard Hollywood
This month saw the ultimate car crash TV event being advertised in a big way. Hailed as the comeback of Lindsay Lohan, the Lifetime TV movie was a critical flop and I'm sure it was watched more for how truly awful it was, rather than for any real entertainment value. Lifetime did spend bucket loads of money on billboards for Liz & Dick, so be sure to check them all out.
Giant Game of Thrones season 3 teaser billboard
There really were a glut of super-sized billboards in November, but the biggest tease had to be for the third season of Game of Thrones along Sunset Boulevard, which doesn't even air until the end of next March.
Next Iron Chef Redemption giant billboard
Previous season contestants return for the fifth season of The Next Iron Chef and the Food Network have at least tried to appear a tad more original than simply calling it 'Allstars' by naming the season 'Redemption'. I do like this giant phoenix creative in the heart of Hollywood though.
NBA basketball TNT Thursdays billboard
And just a few blocks over in Hollywood this wall mural for NBA TNT Thursdays adds a splash of colour to the neighborhood.
Giant Eddie Murphy One Night Only billboard
Eddie Murphy gets a super-sized billboard to match his notorious super-sized ego for Spike TV's special tribute to the comedian.
Mankind TV billboard
This month The History Channel brought us the story of us all in their new series Mankind.
Dexter season 7 finale billboard
Whilst another season came to an end with this ominous billboard for the seventh season finale of Dexter.
Witness Juarez HBO billboard
Meanwhile HBO brought us a billboard for the start of a series of four documentaries about contemporary photo journalists in hot spots around the world.
Wedding Band billboard
Lightening the mood in November was this bright and fun billboard for new TBS comedy, Wedding Band, starring Brian Austin Green.
Superjail! season 3 billboard
And Adult Swim brought us another surreal and slightly bonkers billboard for the third season of the animated series, Superjail!
Family Guy cartoon TV billboard
Plus for more mainstream animated comedy there was this fun Family Guy billboard.

Movie billboards
Giant Hobbit billboard
Advertising for The Hobbit's first cinematic installment kicked into high gear with this giant-sized billboard on the side of the Sofitel Hotel along Beverly Boulevard, plus a raft of new creatives for the movie like this Gollum billboard.

Disney's Wreck-It Ralph surprised everyone at the box office with a great result and I spied this giant pixelated billboard along Wilshire Boulevard in Westwood earlier this month.

If you liked the movie, be sure to check out all of these Wreck-It Ralph movie billboards.
Giant Lincoln movie billboard
Another giant billboard gracing the skies in November was this huge creative for Oscar hopeful Lincoln.
Rise of the Guardians special installation movie billboard
Meanwhile it may have underperformed at the box office (although maybe bringing out a Christmas-themed movie for Thanksgiving was the wrong timing), but I loved the highly visible billboard ad campaign for DreamWorks Rise of the Guardians.

Batman and Bane rise once more in the skies of L.A. this month for the Blu-ray release of The Dark Knight Rises.

And The Rolling Stones celebrated 50 years in the business with HBO's documentary film Crossfire Hurricane and this eye-catching massive billboard along L.A.'s infamous Sunset Strip.

The box office blockbuster hope for Christmas is the big screen adaptation of the Les Misérables musical and who can blame them with the likes of Broadway leading man and Hollywood movie star Hugh Jackman leading the all-star cast.
Les Miserables movie billboard
And finally this Epix movie billboard campaign has been around for a while, but I'd not managed to capture a picture of this Tom Cruise creative for Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol before now.

And that's it for this month's movie and television billboard round-up. Be sure to check out my Daily Billboard blog for all the very latest ad creatives and multiple formats on a daily basis and come back next month for more collections of the best billboards that L.A. has to offer.

Now let the countdown to Christmas begin...
