Even though I've been showcasing all kinds of Halloween costumes in the past few days from last week's West Hollywood Carnaval, I couldn't help but share the original movie costume exhibits that have sprung up around L.A. in October and early November, especially as Marvel's Thor movie sequel opens in the U.S. today.
This fantastic exhibit featuring costumes worn by Rene Russo as Thor's mother 'Frigga' and Anthony Hopkins as the All-Father of Asgard, 'Odin', were on display at ArcLight Hollywood cinema at the beginning of November.
Now these are the kind of fantastical costume designs I love to see in person, and if you want to see these original Thor: The Dark World costumes in more detail, be sure to click through to my Hollywood Movie Costumes and Props blog.
I run marathons to raise money for an HIV/AIDS charity in L.A. and it's important that films like this are made, not only to show what happened in the past, but also to highlight that this deadly disease hasn't gone away, people are still living with HIV/AIDS and we are still trying to find a cure for it.
Now that we're entering the run up to Oscar consideration season I think we'll start to see even more cool costume and props exhibits around L.A. in the weeks to come, so I'll keep my eyes peeled and be back with more updates soon.
In the meantime be sure to check out my Hollywood Movie Costumes and Props blog for all my latest finds in much more detail...
