So this is November in Los Angeles...

You'd be forgiven for thinking it's summer here in L.A. these past few days as the sun is shining, the sky is blue and the temperatures are soaring.

Even at 8am this morning it was in the 80's at Runyon Canyon (thanks in part to the daylight savings time change), which is not so great for our panting Labrador Cooper.

I know Southern California is known for its amazing weather, but these conditions in mid-November are pretty bizarre and you can't help but think this is global warming in action.

People living in L.A. often complain about the lack of seasons, especially if they're not from here originally, and with this heatwave you can see why they miss more autumnal weather, like falling leaves, foggy conditions, misting rain and a nip in the air.

I've been in L.A. for the the last six years now and I like the sunshine as much as everyone else, but clear and bright weather without the heat is more my cup of tea (and Cooper's).

Here's to cooler temperatures to get us into the holiday spirit in the days to come (and hopefully I've not just cursed us with days of endless rain)...
