The new season television billboards certainly kept me busy this month, whether it be photographing debuting new series or ads for returning favourites, there were plenty of eye-catching billboards to keep passersby entertained. Here's the pick of the best billboards from the genres of comedy, animation, historical drama, fantasy, science fiction, news, current affairs and more besides.
First up is one of my favourites adverts of the month for Hulu's new ghost comedy series, Deadbeat. The simple, fun design and pop of vibrant egg yolk yellow really helps this billboard stand out from the crowd.
Another fun design gracing the skies this month was this needlepoint murder scene for the TV adaptation of the Coen Brothers 1996 movie Fargo on FX, which features new characters and storylines, but in the same vein as the big screen original's humour and style.
Another new series set in the past, this time during the U.S. Revolutionary War stars Jamie Bell taking part in America's first spy ring to overthrow the British.
More fantastical delights from the past come from Showtime's Penny Dreadful set in Victorian London, starring Eva Green and Josh Hartnett and pitting them against some of horror's most infamous characters, like Dr. Frankenstein, Dorian Gray and threats from the world of Dracula.
season one Orphan Black billboard.
Syfy Igniters billboards from this and previous years, which promote the cable channel's social media adept audience to prospective sponsors and advertisers.
Be sure to also check out these round-ups of April's movie billboards and fashion billboards, plus come back tomorrow for a taste of the drinks and other lifestyle ad creatives trying to grab your attention in the skies of L.A. these past weeks.
Stay tuned billboard fans...
