Sometimes I think I have have the best life. Not only do I get to go to the occasional World Premiere in Hollywood, but as I live so close to where a lot the movies are made (or at least where the big studios have their headquarters), I also get to see a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes costumes and props that go into bringing the movies fantastical worlds to life.
From the blockbuster box office opening weekend results it's obvious that people love the new cosmic Marvel movie as much as I did, so you can imagine my delight when I was able to get up close with some of the original costumes from the movie on display at ArcLight Sherman Oaks cinema.

costumes worn by Jack Nicholson as The Joker in 1989's Batman, Michelle Pfeiffer's Catwoman catsuit and Danny DeVito's Penguin costume from Batman Returns and many more wonderful discoveries besides.
And that's not all as that's only the downstairs of the museum, when you go upstairs you're in Harry Potter heaven as there are screen-used costumes, models and props from all eight magical films.
So as you can see there's loads of amazing movie exhibits from the worlds of sci-fi, superheroes and the supernatural on display around L.A. at the moment if you know where to look.
Hopefully now that the blockbuster Summer movie season is almost over, there'll be more costumes and props on display at my local cinemas, especially in the run up to awards season.
Just like I said, there are worse ways to spend my time...
