Throughout 2014 my fascination with original movie costumes and props continued (along with all those eye-catching billboards), and I just love discovering new items on display when I'm out and about. Here's the latest assortment from behind-the-scenes of Hollywoodland, just one of the many perks of living in L.A., spotted at cinema foyers and comic shops at the end of last year and the beginning of 2015.
If you love this suit designed by the legendary Albert Wolsky like I do, then be sure to take a closer look at this original Birdman movie costume which was on display at my local comic book store along Melrose Avenue before Christmas and if you're so inclined, why not compare it to Michael Keaton's Batman movie costumes from the Tim Burton movies.
These Colleen Atwood designed outfits were photographed on display at ArcLight Sherman Oaks cinema.
If you're a fan of the iconic designer and the musical, be sure to check out my costumes and props blog in the days to come for even more fantastic Into the Woods film costumes on display.
This hiking backpack prop used by the actress and the signs from the movie were snapped on display at ArcLight Sherman Oaks in December too.
Click through the link to check out these costumes designed by Ruth E. Carter and worn by the lead actors, David Oyelowo and Carmen Ejogo as 'Martin Luther King, Jr.' and 'Coretta Scott King', plus Oprah Winfrey's outfit from the film she also helped produce.
Hopefully the film costumes and props will keep coming in 2015 and I also think I'm overdue a visit to the NBC Universal Experience archive exhibit at Universal Studios Hollywood in the next week or two...
