Now that Hollywood's most prestigious awards event is out of the way for another year life can return to what counts as relatively normal in L.A. Here's a roundup of all the Oscar contender billboards, plus the other film and music billboards filling the city skyline this February in the run up to the 87th Academy Awards.
Benedict Cumberbatch may have missed out on an Oscar (but thankfully Eddie Redmayne won for his role in The Theory of Everything rather than Michael Keaton in Birdman), but The Imitation Game still took home the Academy Award for Best Writing Adapted Screenplay and Graham Moore gave one of the most personal and inspirational speeches of the evening. "Stay weird", indeed!
Julianne Moore took that always the bridesmaid, never the bride adage last night and stomped it into the ground by winning the Best Actress Oscar for Still Alice, following four previous Academy nominations.
Not only did pop icon Madonna perform at the Grammys this year, but she's also about to drop her new album, Rebel Heart, and this month there was a short burst of outdoor activity for her highly-anticipated new record.
As you can see this month the skies have been dominated by awards ceremonies for both the film and music industries, but I'm sure it will be business as usual next month.
Until then, stay tuned for more roundups for TV, fashion and lifestyle billboards gracing L.A.'s skyline this February...
