Cool movie and music billboards around L.A. in March 2015...

This month there was a mighty assortment of movie and music-themed billboards filling L.A.'s crowded skyline, here's a selection of the best outdoor ads that caught my eye in March.

Movie billboards
Giant Avengers Age of Ultron movie billboard
First up is this giant-sized billboard for the Avengers movie sequel, Age of Ultron. The ad needed to be super-sized to fit in all of Earth's Mightiest Heroes, as in addition to Hulk, Hawkeye, Black Widow, Iron Man, Captain America and Thor, this billboard features the super-powered twins, Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver. I can't wait to see this new Marvel movie, it's going to be epic.
Get Hard movie billboard
Next up are two fun billboards for the ad campaign for Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart's new prison preparation comedy, Get Hard.
Get Hard film billboard
You can also see this Get Hard ad creative split in two to make two separate billboards on opposite sides of the street for extra impact.
Paul Blart Mall Cop 2 movie bilboards
Also in the world of comedy, and Kevin James is back as his Paul Blart alter-ego in Mall Cop 2, riding his segway into Las Vegas, where he finds a security guard is never off duty when trouble calls.
Giant Furious 7 movie billboard
Also driving back into cinemas soon are the Fast & Furious crew in the final movie to star Paul Walker, Furious 7.
Run All Night movie billboards
Liam Neeson keeps churning out the action thrillers and in Run All Night he plays a former hitman going up against his old mob boss to protect his son.
The Gunman movie billboard
Trying to capitalise on Liam Neeson's success as an unlikely action hero, Sean Penn tried his hand with the director of Taken this month for The Gunman, but the movie failed to offer anything new to the genre.
Home movie billboard
DreamWorks Animation's Home provided a much needed box office hit for the studio after disappointing movies like Turbo and The Croods, but this fun alien outcast film with the voices of Rihanna and Jim Parsons seems to have captured the imagination of cinema goers.
Killing Jesus TV movie billboard
Meanwhile with Easter fast approaching and biblical epics being all the rage at the cinema the past year with the likes of Noah and Exodus: Gods and Kings, the National Geographic Channel has decided to reenact the killing of Jesus with a new TV movie event.

After all, they've already killed President Kennedy and President Lincoln in two other specials.
Doctor Zhivago TCM Classic Film Festival billboard
This month its also that time of year for another TCM Classic Film Festival in Hollywood, so be sure to check out all the other billboards for the annual movie festival ad campaign, like this version featuring 1965's Doctor Zhivago.
Transformers Age of Extinction Epix billboard
Optimus Prime was back in the skies of L.A. for the fourth Transformers movie coming to the Epix channel. If you're a fan of the robots-in-disguise, be sure to check out all these other eye-catching Transformers: Age of Extinction movie billboards from when the film was released in theatres.

Theme park billboards
Frozen Fun Disneyland billboard
Also worth a mention this month now that Frozen 2 has been announced by Disney, is this Frozen Fun theme park billboard for Disney's California Adventure, which should prove a hit with all the fans of this box office juggernaut.

Musicals billboards
Disney Newsies musical LA premiere billboard
Speaking of Disney and their Broadway hit show Newsies (which I was fortunate enough to see there) is coming to L.A. with this billboard for the musical, based on the 1995 film about the New York City newspaper boy strike of 1899.

Music billboards
Katy Perry Prismatic World Tour Epix billboard
In the world of music and Epix is also bringing Katy Perry's Prismatic World Tour to her fans this month.
Imagine Dragons Smoke Mirrors album billboard
Meanwhile I spotted this wall mural for Imagine Dragons new Smoke + Mirrors album and tour over in Hollywood in March.
Omnia Nightclub Nicky Romero billboard
And Caesars Palace in Las vegas was promoting its new club venue in a big way throughout March, with these cool special extension billboards featuring DJs playing at the Omnia nightclub, including the likes of Nicky Romero, Krewella, Calvin Harris and more.
iHeart Radio music Awards 2015 billboard
It seems like there's always an award show going on, and tonight it's the turn of the iHeart Radio Music Awards and this month I spied these billboards featuring Iggy Azalea and Snoop Dogg to promote the televised ceremony.
iHeart Radio music Awards 2015 billboard
YouTube also wanted to get in on the awards action this month with their own music awards 2015, celebrating new talent, popular videos and breakthrough artists.
