This month there's been a fantastic selection of movie and music billboards trying to catch passersby eyeballs. Here's a collection of the best and brightest examples from around the streets of L.A. in September.
billboards for Hotel Transylvania 2.
billboards for Everest around the streets and skies of L.A.
Meanwhile, does anyone notice the similarities between these two creatives for Everest and Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials? Theres's something about the perilous situation between two ridges that has the same feel, so it's unfortunate they are both in the skies at the same time.
Nevertheless, saying that I'm still loving the whole Maze Runner film franchise and think it's one of the better sound adult book adaptations to hit the big screen in recent years.
I also go to see Matt Damon's NASA spacesuit from The Martian on display at the ArcLight Hollywood cinema the other day and it was a pretty awesome design, so be sure to click through and get a closer look on my costume blog.
However, these billboards with Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway look more like an educational PSA on teaching the elderly how to use computers than a movie.
bubble-blowing machine billboard installation for SpongeBob that was used to promote the new movie earlier in the year along the Sunset Strip for its theatrical release.
Interstellar movie billboard ad campaign from last October.
This month movies didn't have the monopoly on really cool special extension billboards either, as this stormy example for David Gilmour's new Rattle that Lock album illustrates.
Meanwhile Lana Del Rey dropped her new album, Honeymoon, with this touristy summertime ad creative.
As you can see there's been quite an eclectic selection of movie and music-themed billboards this month, with more and more popping up every day.
Be sure to check out my Daily Billboard blog for all the latest sightings and come back next month or another outdoor ad roundup.
