2015 Hearts of San Francisco...

Whenever I visit the City by the Bay, I always like to check out the latest Hearts of San Francisco, which is the city's public art sculptural project which started back in 2004 and benefits the San Francisco General Hospital Foundation.

For this 'Polaroid Heart' creation artists Bruce Scott and William Westley used over 1,000 polaroids supplied by the local community to create this cool collage which features images and memories of San Francisco.

This inspirational heart can be found downtown on the corner of Union Square at Post & Stockton until October 23, 2015.

This is the tenth year in a row that this charity outdoor art project has taken place and this time I only managed to spot these two new designs on my two days in San Francisco, although you can discover other fresh creatives placed all around the city.

The second heart is called 'Salutations' by artist Kristine Brandt and can be found at another corner of Union Square at Geary & Powell.
There's a lot of construction happening in this area at the moment, so these vibrant creations help brighten the city streets even more, and at the corner of Post & Powell you can still find Tony Bennett's Golden Gate Bridge Heart.
If you like these new designs, be sure to also check out all these Hearts of San Francisco sculptures from previous years.

Let's hope the vibrant heart-shaped art project can continue for another ten years...
