Fall fashion billboards filling L.A.'s skyline in October 2015...

The temperatures continue to soar, the sun continues to shine and people are still wearing shorts and sunglasses in the City of Angels, but this month there was far more Fall fashion dominating the sprawling skyline. Here's a collection of outdoor ads that really caught my magpie eye this October.

Fashion billboards
Yasiel Puig Starter Dodgers Jacket billboard
First up is this striking ad creative for L.A. Dodgers Starter jackets, which may not be the most fashion forward clothing, but the billboard featuring Yasiel Puig looks pretty stunning in the skies this month.

If you're a fan of the pro baseball right fielder, you can also see Yasiel Puig in this Vita Coco billboard from last year.
Calvin Harris Emporio Armani FW 2015 billboard
Keeping to the male model theme and Calvin Harris is back in the skies of the Sunset Strip this month for Emporio Armani's Fall offering.

If you're an admirer of the superstar DJ, be sure to also check out these earlier season Emporio Armani billboards featuring Calvin Harris.
2Xist activegear billboard
2(X)ist was keeping things sporty with a new active gear ad, plus another creative for its new Sliq micro trunk men's underwear, proving it's not quite time to give up on the bodies of Summer in West Hollywood's Boys Town.

The fashion website Farfetch continued its unorthodox ad campaign which features models with their back to the camera, this time with a new male model version.

Plus they moved their female Fall ad creative further west along the Sunset Strip to showcase their womenswear in a prime ad location.

Meanwhile Guess was bringing the drama to the city skies with this sexy snakeskin print dress, as we head towards party and holiday season.

And Michael Kors Collection was supplying more Fall fashion and essential accessories with this new billboard featuring Natasha Poly.

This month strip-mall, value-oriented chain Dress Barn kicked off a fun outdoor campaign to help further revamp the perception of the retail clothing brand.
Dress Barn Don't let the name fool you billboard
With a new confidence and new lines like LUXE from Carmen Marc Valvo and MiXT from Heidi Weisel, the brand is really trying to reposition itself from other value offerings like Kohl's and JCPenney.

These stylish billboards with bulls, roosters and pigs certainly make you take a second look.
Net-A-Porter womenswear FW15 billboard
Another online designer retailer with a new creative in the skies this months was Net-A-Porter, and the last two creatives have highlighted gift-packaging, which is quite a clever tactic in the run up to the gift-giving season.
Diesel Wont be long before you see us again billboard
Diesel was back in the skies this month with black and white ad creatives featuring models David Alexander Flinn and Frances Coombe, and a different approach to fashion advertising taglines.
Diesel I won't be here for much longer billboard
Speaking of denim and DL 1961 is back with another selection of billboard creatives to join the DL designer jeans tribe.

These Fall collection ads feature bright young things Josephine Skriver and her real-life boyfriend Alexander DeLeon.

Next up is another ad with the model avoiding looking at the camera, but wonderfully featuring another Fall trend, the satin souvenir bomber jacket, this one from Saint Laurent Paris. There's something about those palm trees that make me want this retro jacket.

Meanwhile Hale Bob is quite ready to give up on the Summer sun yet, lounging in the skies along the Strip Strip in their signature unique prints.

And in the world of women's sportswear, I spied this Nike Women running billboard above their flagship store in Union Square in San Francisco when I visited this month.

As you can see there's been a lot of new season looks and styles popping up in the skyline these past few weeks. Let's see if the trend continues throughout November and I'm sure I'll spot some cool fashion billboards when I visit New York next week to run the marathon.

Stay tuned for more snapshots of L.A.'s TV, movie, music, drink and lifestyle billboards this month.

In the years to come it's going to be really interesting to look back on all these styles and brands to see which ones were hits and which ones were misses.

As they say in fashion, one day you're in and the next day you're out...
