November's movie, music and gaming billboards filling L.A.'s skies...

This month the skies have been filled with movie billboards to entice you over the start of the holiday season, lots of music and video game gift ideas and even a show to go and see if you're off work and spending with your family. Here's a cool selection of the film, music, performing arts and video game billboards trying to get your attention throughout November 2015.

Movie billboards
The Good Dinosaur movie billboard
First up is a tale as old as time, prehistoric time that is. The Good Dinosaur is Disney/Pixar's latest animated movie adventure and takes place on an Earth where the meteor that destroyed the dinosaurs missed.
Giant Good Dinosaur movie billboard Sunset Strip
These fun billboards for The Good Dinosaur really did show the special connection between one dinosaur and his human cave boy, so if you like these two examples, be sure to click through and check out all the different creatives and special extensions.
Turkey Hollow Lifetime movie billboard
From computer animation to live-action puppetry and Jim Henson's Turkey Hollow was a Thanksgiving treat for all the family on Lifetime this month.
In the Heart of the Sea movie billboard
And from turkeys to whales as Moby-Dick gets the big screen treatment again with Ron Howard's In the Heart of the Sea, which is based on the story that inspired Herman Melville's classic novel.
Truth movie billboard
Last night I saw the lovely Cate Blanchett in the lesbian romance Carol, but she had another movie out this month, Truth, about the last days of news anchor Dan Rather and CBS News producer Mary Mapes following the Killian documents controversy which concerned George W. Bush's military record during his 2004 presidential election campaign.
Chi-Raq movie billboard
Another film billboard in the skies of the Sunset Strip this month was for Amazon Studios Spike Lee movie Chi-Raq, where the girlfriend of a Chicago gang leader convinces other frustrated women to withhold sex until their male partners agree to end their senseless cycle of gang violence.
Mockingjay 2 Scouts Guide to the Zombie Apocalypse billboards
Speaking of violence and The Hunger Games came to its conclusion this month with Mockingjay Part 2. I love Jennifer Lawrence but I have to say, as the film franchise grew bigger, the larger production budgets didn't necessarily make for better storytelling.
Giant Beasts of No Nation movie billboard
Idris Elba was super-sized in the skies of L.A. in October and November for his new original movie on Netflix (and in speciality cinemas), Beast of No Nation.
Beasts of No Nation For your consideration billboard
The drama set in a war torn African country follows the exploits of an orphaned boy, from captive to soldier and is one of Netflix's Oscar hopefuls this season.

Be sure to check out more billboards and the awards campaigning for Beasts of No Nation around the streets of Los Angeles.
Spectre 007 movie billboard
James Bond was back in the city skyline this month, but his on screen adventures felt more like an old-fashioned 007 romp, although saying that Spectre had stunning cinematography and globe-trotting locales.
Creed movie billboard
And speaking of sequels, Sylvester Stallone's Rocky was getting a next generation sequel, by passing the boxing torch to Michael B. Jordan in Creed this Thanksgiving.
Secret in their Eyes movie remake billboard
Secret in their Eyes got the Hollywood remake treatment this month after the original 2009 Argentinian film won the Best Foreign Film Oscar. It hasn't fared so well with the critics or at the box office, but this gritty Julia Roberts thriller about her seeking revenge for her murdered daughter is still on my must-see list.
Leisure Class HBO movie billboard
Over on HBO this month The Leisure Class was a new original film making its debut about an English conman trying to marry into an American family for their wealth, until he realises he actually has feelings for his intended bride.
Fandango Miles Mouvay billboard
And also in the world of movies, Fandango, the cinema ticketing app and website launched their new 'biggest fan' outdoor ad campaign in the skies of L.A.

SNL's longtime funny guy Kenan Thompson stars as the faux fan 'Miles Mouvay', so be sure to check out all the various fun Fandango billboards at my Daily Billboard blog.
What Happened Miss Simone film billboard
One of my favourite billboards in November was this captivating ad creative for the awards campaign for Netflix's documentary film, What Happened, Miss Simone?, about the life off and on stage of the legendary 'High Priestess of Soul'.

Music and radio billboards
Shining a Light race progress concert billboard
In the world of music, the Shining A Light concert was trying to help progress on race in America with an all-star line-up.
Giant U2 Live in Paris HBO billboard
And speaking of concerts, U2's live concert and HBO broadcast was cancelled in Paris due to the tragic terrorist events in the City of Lights, but hopefully it will be rescheduled soon as we can't give in to these enemies of freedom.
Ellie Goulding Delirium world tour billboard
As the gift-giving season is fast approaching lots more album and concert billboards are popping up in the city skyline, like this one for Ellie Goulding's Delirium World Tour.
Coldplay head full of stars album billboard
Meanwhile Coldplay is back in the skies with their latest album offering, hoping to be the perfect stocking filler (or digital download), A Headful of Dreams.
One Direction Made in the AM album billboard
Speaking of new music and One Direction was back with their first album since Zayn Malik left the boy band, Made in the A.M.
Justin Bieber Purpose album billboard
Whilst another teen heartthrob, Justin Bieber, dropped his latest album this month, Purpose.
X Ambassadors VHS album billboard
Plus the American rock band X Ambassadors debut album, VHS, was also released this November with an accompanying billboard along the infamous Sunset Strip.
Bonfire Comedy Central radio billboard
In the world of radio, Comedy Central's The Bonfire also got some ad support along The Strip this month.

Performing Arts billboards
Cirque du Soleil Kurios billboard
The acrobatic storytellers, Cirque du Soleil, were back in the L.A. skyline this month for their latest touring live-show offering, Kurios: Cabinet of Curiosities.
Cirque du Soleil Kurios billboard
If you like these ad creatives, be sure to check out these previous Cirque du Soleil billboards that have graced the skies of the City of Angels.

Gaming billboards
Fallout 4 video game billboard
You can always tell when the gift-giving season is around the corner as a whole glut of video game billboards start to pop up in the city skyline, like these retro Vault Boy billboards for Fallout 4.
Giant Just Cause 3 video game billboard Hollywood
You can tell the gaming industry is with mega-bucks, as they're not afraid to spend money on special extension ad campaigns and giant-sized wallscape billboards, like this  in-your-face Just Cause 3 example.

Stick around for even more snapshots of November's TV and lifestyle billboards, plus be sure to check out what cool film and music billboards filled L.A.'s skies a year ago.

Stay tuned folks...
