Emmy consideration TV billboards cramming L.A.'s skyline in June 2016...

Only two short weeks are left before the Emmy nominations are announced on July 14, 2016, but there's been some fierce competition in these skies of L.A. to grab TV Academy voters attention this past month and stand out from all the other regular TV, movie, music, fashion and lifestyle billboards. Here's a collection of the Emmy ads from a whole host of different networks, studios and channels.

2016 Emmy consideration billboards
Giant Better Call Saul 2016 Emmy FYC billboard
First up is this eye-catching Emmy consideration billboard for the sophomore season of AMC's Better Call Saul. Let's see is there will be any nominations over the rainbow for this Breaking Bad spin-off this season.
Night Manager 2016 Emmy FYC billboard
AMC's outdoor campaign for The Night Manager espionage thriller mini-series was also impressive with several arresting ad creatives like this one. If you like this in-your-face ad, make sure you also check out the other Emmy FYC billboards for The Night Manager.
Walking Dead 2016 Emmy FYC billboard
Meanwhile I totally agree with this description of The Walking Dead, it is more than just zombie gore, it does peal to the head, heart and adrenal gland, and not many shows on TV can say that, especially when it's in its sixth season.
House of Cards 2016 Emmy FYC billboard
Netflix's political drama House of Cards was more scheming than ever for its fourth season and really did improve over the previous season, so some awards recognition would be well deserved.
Daredevil 2016 Emmy FYC billboard
Netflix's Marvel series Daredevil returned for a second season and welcomed 'The Punisher' and 'Elektra' to the Man without Fear's gritty world. I think Charlie Cox deserves a nomination for his portrayal of a blind lawyer and awesome crime-fighting superhero (plus he's not bad to look at either).

As you can imagine there were plenty of other Netflix Emmy consideration billboards, so be sure to click through and check them all out at my Daily Billboard Blog.
Project Greenlight 2016 HBO Emmy billboard
Once again HBO blanketed the skies with an abundance of billboards for its many shows, specials and original films this month.
All The Way 2016 HBO Emmy consideration billboard
Here are just two examples, for Project Greenlight's fourth season and the movie adaptation of the play All The Way, plus for more check out all these other 2016 HBO Emmy consideration billboards packing the city skyline.
Empire season 2 Emmy 2016 consideration billboard
Fox Television Group didn't want to be left out of the running for an Emmy or two, and in addition to ads for the second season of hip hop drama, Empire, and their musical extravaganza Grease: Live!, I also spied further Emmy ads for The X-Files revival and The Last Man on Earth's sophomore season.
Grease Live 2016 Emmy billboard
Universal Television is one of those production companies that airs its shows on different networks and channels, so on occasion there can be overlap and different creatives for the same show.
Master of None 2016 Emmy consideration billboard
Take for example Aziz Ansari's freshman comedy, which streams on Netflix. Make sure you check out the similarities between this billboards and Netflix's Emmy FYC ads for Master of None.
Wiz Live Emmy 2016 consideration billboard
Fox got their idea for the ratings winner Grease: Live! from NBC, and The Wiz: Live! as their third musical TV event in as many years and was well received. Let's see if any of the all-black cast will be rewarded for their live performances.
Shades of Blue 2016 Emmy consideration billboard
Jennifer Lopez's rookie dirty cop drama Shades of Blue was another Universal Television production getting some support on L.A.'s streets and skies this June.
Bates Motel 2016 Emmy consideration billboard
Plus here's also the A&E consideration billboard for another Universal Television show, and be sure to check out other examples from their 2016 Emmy consideration billboards, like Superstore, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and more.
The Path FYC Hulu 2016 billboard
Driving around this City of Angels I also spied additional Emmy FYC billboards from Hulu, like this example for The Path's debut season featuring Michelle Monaghan.
Difficult People FYC Hulu 2016 Emmy billboard
Hulu was also promoting its freshman sitcom Difficult People, just before the second season is due to stream.
Billy on the Street 2016 Emmy billboard
Meanwhile Billy Eichner was also hopeful for some Emmy love for the fourth season of his Billy on the Street show.
Documentary Now FYC you Jagoffs Emmy billboard
IFC's Documentary Now! series had this fun faux swearing rock 'n' roll creative for its documentary parody series.
Outlander Starz FYC Emmy 2016 billboard
And the premium cable channel Starz was showing off some of its shows (just before it was bought by Lionsgate), like the time-traveling romantic period drama Outlander, now in its second season.
Blunt Talk Starz FYC Emmy 2016 billboard
Plus Patrick Stewart was putting on a show for his Blunt Talk comedy series with this ad creative. Make sure you also check out these other Starz Emmy consideration billboards for Power and Ash vs. Evil Dead.
Angie Tribeca 2016 Emmy FYC billboard
Angie Tribeca (aka Rashida Jones) was pondering whether her cop spoof would receive any nods this season.
Full Frontal Samantha Bee 2016 Emmy FYC billboard
Also on TBS, Samantha Bee's late-night show Full Frontal has been providing some withering satire of the political world this season and has been unafraid to take on the pro-gun lobby, so let's see if she's recognised for her comic insights.
Underground season 1 Emmy 2016 FYC billboard
And WGN America's historical underground railroad slavery drama was hoping for some acclaim for the cast of Underground.
Forest Whitaker Roots 2016 Emmy FYC billboard
The iconic mini-series Roots was given a remake this Memorial Day and Forest Whitaker was just one of its stars to receive some Emmy support in the city skyline.
The Magicians season 1 Emmy 2016 FYC billboard
Along the Sunset Strip Syfy was hoping this eye-catching billboard for the inaugural season of The Magicians would help turn heads and attract votes.
Jane the Virgin season 2 Emmy 2016 FYC billboard
Plus further west along the Strip The CW was supporting the sophomore season of baby drama, Jane the Virgin.
Man in the High Castle Emmy 2016 FYC billboard
Meanwhile most of Amazon's Emmy consideration billboards were snapped at the end of May, but this one for The Man in the High Castle was photographed at the start of June. This company outdoor campaign was one of my favourites and also featured the likes of Transparent, Mozart in the Jungle and Catastrophe in the crowded city skyline.
For Your Emmy Consideration kittens Comedy Central billboard
And finally for this collection, Comedy Central always has a witty tongue-in-cheek billboard creative for Emmy season and this basket of kittens is the perfect bribe to tickle TV Academy members funny bones this year.

If you like this fun feline ad, you can also check out last year's example and more 2015 Emmy consideration billboards.

It goes without saying I've been busy this past month, but the onslaught is starting to subside at last. Now all I have to do is wait for the nominations to be announced and the crazy Emmy billboard blitz will begin anew.

Bring it on, I can't wait...
