This month there were so many TV themed billboards that I decided to present the new and returning shows separately from all the Emmy consideration billboards filling the city skyline. It's also that time of the year when the weather really doesn't want to cooperate with its gloomy 'May Grey' conditions, plus I was away for almost two weeks, but there was still a wealth of billboard ads trying to grab passersby attention.
Another cause-related billboard in the skies of L.A. this month was for America's second official Red Nose Day, helping to raise funds for people and children living in poverty around the world. This ad creative featuring loads of celebs isn't as eye-catching as the Statue of Liberty 3D Red Nose billboard from last year though.
Over on USA Network Alice Braga stars as the Queen of the South this Summer, a 'Queenpin of crime' based on Arturo Pérez-Reverte's best-selling book La Reina Del Sur.
Meanwhile Freeform (formerly ABC Family) has a new drama about an American student in London whose roommate is murdered, with her being the prime suspect in the death.
This Memorial Day the iconic slave drama Roots got a mini-series remake for a new generation on History.
season billboards for Hell on Wheels.
abbreviation billboards for Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt's second season continued to make me laugh out loud this month.
YouTube Red continued to promote the shows on its new paid-for service, like this cleverly placed Prank Academy billboards.
As you can see from all these TV offerings, there's almost too much TV to watch these days (let alone photograph in the city skyline).
Come back soon for all the 2016 Emmy consideration billboards also filling L.A.'s streets and skies, but in the meantime be sure to check out what TV show billboards were gracing the sprawling city skyline last May.
Keep your eyes to the skies...
