Attention-grabbing TV billboards around L.A. in February 2017...

This month the skies of L.A. were treated to many new TV show billboards, along with some ad creatives for returning favourites. Here's a cool selection of the eye-catching billboards trying to get you to watch what the small screen has to offer in coming weeks and months.

Empire midseason 3 billboard
First up is this striking creative for the second half episodes of the third season of hip-hop drama Empire.
Kennedys After Camelot series premiere billboard
Following the big screen's recent Jackie movie, 2011's mini-series The Kennedys gets a sequel based on the J. Randy Taraborrelli's book, After Camelot: A personal History of the Kennedy Family 1968 to the Present, starring Katie Holmes as Jackie Kennedy Onassis and Matthew Perry as Ted Kennedy, youngest of the assassinated Kennedy Brothers.
Detroiters series premiere billboard
On a lighter note, Comedy Central had this fun special extension billboard for their new study comedy series Detroiters, starring Sam Richardson and Tim Robinson.

Plus you better enjoy your marijuana while you can with this comedic billboard for The High Court.
Santa Clarita Diet series premiere billboard
And keeping it humorous, Netflix had some hilarious billboards for its new zombie comedy series Santa Clarita Diet, starring Drew Barrymore as an undead realtor and Timothy Olyphant as her dedicated living husband.

Netflix also had a special tongue-in-cheek treat for all the Valentine's Day lovers out there this month with these cheeky billboards for this big, sexy comedy special.
Feud series premiere billboard
FX's new anthology series from Ryan Murphy was pitting Bette Davis against Joan Crawford in Feud, with Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange as the Hollywood starlet rivals. Meanwhile the next season is rumoured to feature Diana, Princess of Wales and Prince Charles.

More big names gracing the small screen (and skies) this February were Nicole Kidman, Reese Witherspoon and Shailene Woodley for HBO's mini-series drama, Big Little Lies, set up the coast in Monterey.
Teachers series premiere billboard
From mothers to Teachers, and TV Land's new elementary school comedy had this fun billboard at The Grove shopping centre this month.
Doubt series premiere billboard
This season there are lots of legal dramas for viewers to enjoy, including The Good Wife spin-off The Good Fight, although Katherine Heigl's new series Doubt has already been cancelled after only two episodes.

Whilst Dick Wolf's Chicago TV universe continues to expand beyond fire, police and medical dramas with Chicago Justice.
When We Rise series premiere billboard
ABC was shining a light on gay history with its new docudrama mini-series When We Rise, and it's more timely than ever considering the current administration's lack of support for the LGBT community.
24 Legacy season 1 billboard
Fox continued to support it's new 24: Legacy spin-off, although only tie will tell if it can last as long as the original homeland security series with Kiefer Sutherland.

Another hit show getting a spin-off of this month was NBC's The Black List with Redemption starring Famke Janssen, Ryan Eggold and Edi Gathegi.

The History of Comedy was being explored over on CNN and this giant billboard featuring comedy legend Chris Farley (not Donald Trump as some may be mistaken for thinking) helped kick off the docu-series.

The hit TBS sitcom, The Detour, was also back in a big way for its sophomore season as after their disastrous road trip the family moved to the big city this time around.

Crashing, the new series about a stand-up comic whose wife has just left him, was also getting some giant-sized support for its debut.

Bates Motel was back in the skies for a fifth and final season and it's time to see how 'Norman Bates' and his mother's story connects with the iconic Psycho horror movie.

Before HBO's big budget Westworld, Humans was exploring the world of artificial intelligence in a low key way, and now it's rebooting for a second season over on AMC.

The Missing was back on Starz with another case of a missing child to be investigated for a second season.

Plus the grudge match between flawed federal prosecutor and dodgy hedge fund king continued in the skies with this second season billboard for Showtime's Billions.

Reality singing contest The Voice returned to the skies for its twelfth season, with Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys and Adam Levine back as coaches for the lucky contestants.
Vice season 5 billboard
Plus Vice was back on the edgy frontline of journalism and in the firing line with this season five billboard for the documentary series.
Origins journey of humankind billboard
Whilst the National Geographic channel was exploring The Journey of Humankind with the new series Origins.
Chefs Table season 3 billboard
Netflix was continuing to shine a light on the master chefs behind the best restaurants in the business, including Osteria Mozza's Nancy Silverton, with this billboard for the third season of Chef's Table.

The streaming subscription service was also trying to keep the laughs coming with new stand-up comedy specials from Bill Burr and Jim Gaffigan.

In the world of animation, Genndy Tartakovsky's Samurai Jack was back with this fifth and final season Adult Swim billboard.

This month also saw The Lego Batman Movie explode on the big screen, and a fun side effect of this was Warner Bros. and The CW's television shows getting the Lego treatment to help promote the film's release on the side of the WB Studios backlot in Burbank, California.

Included in the toy brick makeover were superhero shows Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Gotham, plus sitcoms The Middle, 2 Broke Girls, The Big Bang Theory and Mom, plus even daytime talk-show host Ellen DeGeneres.
