L.A. gets Terminated...

The fourth entry in the Terminator film franchise opens here in the States on the 21st May and in the past few weeks the city skyline of L.A. has been dominated by massive cyborg skulls and gun-totting skeletal killing machines.

It's much like the way that the Watchmen movie characters were everywhere you looked in L.A. before it was released.

Even before it has been released, Terminator Salvation is already quite famous for Christian Bale's on-set rant (although that seems more and more like a PR stunt the more you think about it, to try and bring him out of Heath Ledger's shadow from The Dark Knight or Christian Bale really just needs to get over himself, one of the two).
After X-Men Origins - Wolverine was the first of this Summer's disappointing blockbuster action movies, I hope that Terminator Salvation won't just be all noise and no substance.

After all it is McG directing, which doesn't fill me with confidence and the trailer does look a bit like the film has been invaded by a bunch of Transformers. Let's hope it's not the film to kill off the Terminator franchise.

Anyway, the billboard advertising for the movie looks suitably menacing and they seem to be everywhere I look. There are even Terminator's starring down at me from lamppost banners at The Grove.

I have been following the spin-off TV series, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which ended it's second season recently and I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed by the show.

Whilst I liked the characters and actors involved, there's only so many episodes of different models of Terminators and people coming back from the future you can take before it all seems a bit repetitive.

It sounds like with this rebooted film franchise launching with Terminator Salvation and poor ratings for the show, the series won't be renewed for a third season.

To keep you Terminator fans happy, here's a life-size replica of the Terminator endoskelton on display in the window of the store next to the Terminator 2: 3D attraction at Universal Studios Hollywood.

And finally, here I am doing my best (and a very bad) Arnold Schwarzenegger impression on this Harley-Davidson Fat Boy motorcycle. Hmm, maybe I should have been wearing some leathers to make it more convincing.

Let's hope the new Terminator movie is better than my acting and impersonation skills...
