The wonderful world of sculpture at Disneyland...

Yesterday I had a fun time at Disneyland in Anaheim and even managed to spot some fabulous mini-sculptures of some Disney favourites on my travels too.

After you walk through Main Street U.S.A., in the Central Plaza nestled in front of Sleeping Beauty's Castle in Fantasyland, you'll find this wonderful collection of familiar character bronzes.

It was my first time back at Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure where I've been able to enjoy the whole day riding all the attractions.

On previous occasions we were either there in the evening for Disney's Christmas Candlelight Ceremony or for the afternoon when my family was visiting in April.

I'm pleased to say that the crowds were far more bearable this time and we only really had to queue for a long time for Splash Mountain (but it was well worth it).

The sun was shining and it was so hot, but we took advantage of the great weather to ride the Grizzly River Run and get soaking wet. We dried off in no time at all.

One of the biggest revelations of the day was the Toy Story Midway Mania attraction, where we had great fun shooting the 3D targets. It's such a simple, yet brilliant concept, that all ages can enjoy.

We made sure to ride California Screamin' a couple of times at the start of our day, although after all the fantastic rollercoasters at Six Flags Magic Mountain it now seems a bit tame in comparison.

I even ventured back on to the Maliboomer, which is just like the Tower of Terror, but you can see for miles when it shoots you up and down in the air.

Anyway, as you can see we had a fabulous day and I look forward to going back again soon.

Hmm, I wonder what delights the weekend will hold...
