A soggy 17 miles to start the weekend...

As predicted it rained this morning on our 17 mile training run, but luckily my pace group's sunny dispositions got us all through the miles.

If you ever move to a new town or country, or just want to meet a new group of like-minded people, I can't recommend highly enough training for a marathon with a running group like T2: Team to End AIDS.

Not only do you get to meet interesting new people and raise money for charity, but you also get to have a whole load of fun too, even when the heavens open.

Fortunately even though it was wet today it wasn't too cold or windy, and now the sun has come out like nothing happened this morning (to help me warm up after my ice-bath).

I was also reminded how amazing Gu gels are at giving you a much needed boost, plus who knew peanut butter and pickles on crackers were so moreish and great for energy.
