Cool TV and movie billboards around L.A. in May 2013...

Returning TV favourites and Summer movie blockbusters dominated the skies of L.A. this month, plus a few series premieres hoping to catch your attention.

Walking Dead 3 Emmy Consideration billboard
In addition to new shows and seasons to shout about, it was also time for AMC to kick off its Emmy Consideration campaign for its raft of critically-adored shows, like the third season of my favourite show, The Walking Dead.

Meanwhile both Mad Men and Breaking Bad are nearing the end of their respectively successful runs and so it's time to win as many awards as they can before the go off the air.

Will Smith and his real-life son Jaden Smith star as futuristic father and son in After Earth, which had a variety of billboard creatives to get you excited for the Summer sci-fi movie.

The Purge is a new horror movie where for one night a year all emergency services are suspended and citizens can vent their violent tendencies. It sounds like an interesting plot and these billboards are certainly intriguing.

And over on HBO Michael Douglas and Matt Damon camped it up in the true story of infamous entertainer Liberace.

And Rod Stewart topped the charts in the U.K. with his latest album release, so there's still plenty of people out there who thinks the aging singer is still sexy.
