Stylish fashion, drinks & lifestyle billboards around L.A. in November 2013...

November is drawing to a close and with the Holidays fast approaching the skies were full of seasonal drinks, fashion and gift idea billboards, plus a few more eclectic ad creatives to catch your eye this month.

Arts billboards
Avedon Women Gagosian Gallery billboard
This striking photographic image for the Avedon: Women exhibition at the Gagosian Gallery was one of my favourites this month and certainly caught my eye.

Fashion billboards
Prada FW 2013 fashion billboard
From a famous fashion photographer to a high-style catwalk brand, Prada had another Fall/Winter 2013 ad creative this month.
Ashlee for Jessica Simpson Fall 13 billboard
From luxury designer labels to more affordable fashion, and Ashlee Simpson modeled for her famous sister's fall collection this month.
Gap Make love billboard
More celebrities could be found modeling for fashion brand's this month, as the stars of the punk-rock movie drama CBGB, Malin Akerman, Mickey Sumner and Ahna O'Reilly, struck a pose for Gap's Make Love campaign.
Banana Republic Open for Joy billboard
And this month Banana Republic is Open for Joy with its wintery Holidays 2013 ad campaign.
Banana Republic LWren Scott Collection billboard
Plus the clothing retailer has a new collection just in time for party season from Mick Jagger's girlfriend, L'Wren Scott.
David Yurman jewelry billboard
And luxury jewelry designer David Yurman was trying to tempt you with his bright shining things for your loved one this festive season, with this stylish mono ad creative along the Sunset Strip.

Drinks billboards
Shock Top Belgian White beer billboard
Even though I'm not a beer drinker, I'm always a sucker for a good special extension and this billboard for Shock Top Belgian White, with the frothy head of beer sneaking over the top, certainly grabbed my attention.
Giant Bud Light billboard Sunset Strip
I'm also quite partial to a super-sized billboard, like this new massive wall wrap on the side of the Mondrian Hotel for Bud Light which makes quite an impact.
Giant Heineken Open your celebrations billboard
Yes, you can tell it's party season, as the alcohol brands and breweries are definitely spending their money to get your attention, like Heineken with their limited edition holiday bottle designs.
Stella Artois celebrate the Holidays billboard
Plus Stella Artois resurrects it's Holidays creative for another year, because like they say, if it ain't broken, don't fix it.
Patron Tequila David Yurman billboard
Meanwhile if you're looking for gift ideas, Patrón Tequila collaborated with another famous designer this festive season to bring you a new limited edition bottle-stopper. This year jewelry designer David Yurman created a samurai sword inspired stopper, and if you like this, be sure to check out last year's Patrón Tequila bottle-stopper billboard from John Varvatos.

Technology billboards
Giant blue iPhone 5c billboard
This month Apple changed around the colours of its billboards for the new iPhone 5c and this giant Sunset Boulevard ad location went from pink to blue.
Giant GoPro snowboarding billboard
GoPro switched its giant surfer billboard for another extreme sport to illustrate the versatility of its cameras, with this super-sized snowboarding wall mural.
not just a laptop Surface 2 billboard
After a very disappointing start with millions of units of stock having to be written off for the first Surface, Microsoft kicked off another ad campaign for its new Surface 2 tablet. I'm not sure this ad campaign is any more enticing than the last one though, but you be the judge and check out these Surface launch campaign billboards.
WD My Cloud billboard
Western Digital was the latest service provide to offer consumers their own personal cloud storage system with these My Cloud billboards.
Sony 4k ultra HD TV billboard
And if you were in the market for a new TV (and couldn't face the madness of the Black Friday sales crowds), Sony was promoting its new 4K Ultra HD television, with this clever billboard creative.
Giant Google Play music billboard
Google Play launched its new unlimited music offering with these colourful speaker billboards and a cool interconnecting billboards on opposite sides of the Sunset Strip, which will certainly vex other providers like iTunes radio, Pandora, Sirius XM and the rest.
Pillywood Beats Pills speakers billboard
And speaking of music, these witty billboards for the wireless Beats Pills speakers have started to pop up around L.A. just in time for the festive gift-giving season. They're not the first brand or product to pay homage to the infamous Hollywood Sign in an ad campaign, just check out this Hilfigers billboard from earlier this year to launch their new L.A. flagship store.

Car billboards
LA Auto Show 2013 billboard
The other day I was cursing the L.A. Auto Show when I got stuck in traffic downtown for the annual expo, but being a sci-fi fan, I did like this futuristic alien invasion creative for the car show.
2014 Corvette Stingray billboard
And speaking of cars, Chevrolet has certainly been hyping its 2014 Corvette Stingray this month with lots of different ads for the sleek and sporty auto lining the city skyline.
2014 Corvette Stingray billboard
Whilst the Nissan Versa Note was less interested in wowing passersby with favourable quotes and more interested in conveying the fun you could have with the car, like going diving apparently.
Nissan Versa Note diver billboard

Religious billboards
Atheists Thank God youre wrong billboard
This month there were more than a few questionable billboards around town, like this passive aggressive religious billboard which to me doesn't convey the Christian values of acceptance and that we're all God's children, more that some of us are better than others, so there.

Health billboards
Keeping you together SnoreStop billboard
Another controversial ad was this billboard for SnoreStop, which had nothing at all to do with the actual sleep aid product and more with courting controversy and PR over the choice of couple of an American soldier and a Muslim woman in a burka.

As you can see a real variety of lifestyle billboards this month and if you like these, be sure to check out November's movie billboard round-up and cool TV billboard round-up.

I wonder what delights will grace the skies of L.A. in December, only time will tell...

Eye-catching TV billboards around L.A. in November 2013...

The fall TV season may be in full swing, but there's still a few replacement series to come and some returning favourites with billboards gracing the city skyline in the month of November.

TV billboards
American Music Awards 2013 glittering lips billboard
On of my favourites really standing out this month was this billboard for the annual AMA's and their special glittering lips billboard. Be sure to head over to my Daily Billboard blog to see a video of this awards billboard gleaming in the California sunshine.
Giant Bonnie and Clyde billboard
Meanwhile I'm still bemused by the fact that three cable networks (Lifetime, A&E and History) are airing the same TV event at the same time, but they continue to support their remake of Bonnie & Clyde with this giant billboard along L.A.'s Sunset Strip. He may be holding the gun, but looks like she's pulling the trigger.
Mob City series premiere billboard
Speaking of guns, this familiar looking pose is given a 1940's twist for Frank Darabont's new crime noir, Mob City. Similar to the true events that inspired the Gangster Squad movie, this special three week TV event on TNT chronicles the shady battle between L.A. crime boss 'Mikey Cohen' and L.A.P.D. Police Chief 'William Parker' and the people that get caught in the crossfire.
Giant True Detective teaser billboard
Keeping to crime, and HBO teased us this month with giant billboards for their new cop anthology series, True Detective, which will star new actors and storylines each season, kicking off with an all-star cast of Woody Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey in January 2014.
Eagleheart Paradise Rising season 3 billboard
And Adult Swim's 'Walker, Texas Ranger' parody returns this month for a third season with a brand new subtitle, Paradise Rising, for a season long connected story.
The Wrong Mans series premiere Hulu billboard
More comedy with a criminal twist comes in the form of Hulu's new original series, The Wrong Mans, which has already aired in the U.K. but finds new life on U.S. screens. In the show, normal office workers James Corden and Matthew Baynton become mixed up in a deadly conspiracy when they mistakenly answer a phone call after a horrific car crash.
Giant Sarah Silverman We Are Miracles billboard
One of the funniest billboards in the skies of L.A. this month belonged to Sarah Silverman, with her giant-sized chimptastic ad for her first HBO comedy special, We Are Miracles.
Aziz Ansari Buried Alive billboard
And speaking of animals in ads, this fun deer in the headlights ad creative for Aziz Ansari's Buried Alive comedy special for Netflix sees the Parks and Recreation star reflecting about relationships, romance and parenthood after turning 30.
Ground Floor series premiere billboard
In Ground Floor, Pitch Perfect's Skylar Astin stars in a new romantic comedy take on Romeo and Juliet in modern day corporate America.
Kirstie sitcom series premiere billboard
And speaking of new sitcoms, after some great moves on the dance floor in two seasons of Dancing with the Stars, Kirstie Alley gets a new comedy show on TV Land. The new series reunites her with fellow Cheers co-star Rhea Perlman, joined by Seinfeld star Michael Richards.
Adam Devines House Party series premiere billboard
Meanwhile another Pitch Perfect film star (and Workaholics star), Adam Devine, gets a new series of sketches and stand-up comedians on Comedy Central.
@Midnight with Chris Hardwick billboard
Also on Comedy Central, Chris Hardwick hosts a new comedy quiz show, @midnight, which sees three celebrity contestants in a game of social media and pop culture's funniest moments.
Greatest Event in TV History billboard
This month Adam Scott and friends were back on Adult Swim with another attempt at creating The Greatest Event in Television History, this time with an homage to the 80's TV sitcom, Too Close for Comfort.
American Horror Story Coven billboard
Even though we're well into the third season of American Horror Story, I couldn't help but share this fab snake ad creative again in this squarer billboard format for Coven, which is shaping up to be the best twisty-turney season yet.
Originals season 1 billboard
From witches to vampires, and The Vampire Diaries spin-off series The Originals has managed to survive the cull of new shows and secured a full season order of episodes.
Almost Human season 1 billboard
And from the supernatural to the futuristic and Fox tries its hand with Almost Human, about a human cop and his android partner, which hopefully will be a nice slice of sci-fi to replace the much-missed Fringe.
Rick and Morty special crashed UFO billboard installation
And finally if science fiction is your thing, then you'll love this special crashed UFO billboard installation along Sunset Boulevard for Adult Swim's new animated comedy series, Rick and Morty (which is inspired by the mad scientist and teenage kid duo of 'Doc' and 'Marty McFly' from the Back to the Future movies).

I love it when I come across a special 3D billboard like this one and if you want to see more great examples, visit Daily Billboard for more cool billboard advertising which really captures your imagination.

Don't forget to check out this month's movie billboard round-up and come back soon for the latest fashion, drinks and lifestyle billboards around L.A. in November...

Cool movie, music and game billboards around L.A. in November 2013...

This month there've been lots of new movie, music albums and video game releases to keep the skies of L.A. filled with cool new billboard campaigns.

Movie billboards
Giant Anchorman 2 movie billboards Downtown LA
To kick us off here's a trio of giant billboards from Downtown L.A. on the side of the Figueroa Hotel for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues, which sees Will Ferrell reprise his impeccably coiffed 'Ron Burgundy' newsreader persona along with the rest of the Channel Four news team.
Anchorman 2 movie billboard
Be sure to check out the rest of the billboards for Anchorman 2 as the gang move from the 70's on the West Coast to the 24-hour news cycle of the Big Apple in the 80's. Plus if you're a fan of 2004's cult comedy hit, be sure to also check out these original Anchorman 2 movie costumes on display at the ArcLight Hollywood cinema.
Hobbit 2 Desolation of Smaug movie billboard
Speaking of sequels and the second installment in The Hobbit Trilogy is on its way, and as well as a new female and fan-favourite elf, it looks like there are more familiar spiders in store in The Desolation of Smaug for 'Bilbo' and his friends to face.

If you're a Tolkien fan, be sure to check out these other billboards for The Hobbit 2 which have invaded L.A. in abundance and variety this month.
American Hustle film billboard
Meanwhile David O' Russell assembles more than a few familiar faces in his new retro FBI sting movie, American Hustle, which promises to have great hair and costumes to match the late 70's and early 80's setting of the movie.
Best Man Holiday movie billboard
Another sequel, although this one almost 15 years in the making was The Best Man Holiday this month, whose ad creative had a real festive feel to it and you could be forgiven if you thought it was Gap billboard with all those smiles and scarves.
Delivery Man movie billboard
Vince Vaughn finds himself the father to over 500 kids after an accident at a clinic where he donated his sperm in his youth in Delivery Man. It's a shame his billboard was so mediocre, but then again nothing could have helped this comedy opening the same weekend as The Hunger Games sequel.
Thor Dark World movie billboard
Here's another billboard for the Thor sequel, which makes Chris Hemsworth look every inch the God of Thunder. I've been very fortunate to see lots of original costumes and props from Thor: The Dark World on display this month, so be sure to check them out too.
Grudge Match movie billboard
The next billboard is for Grudge Match, which sees Robert De Niro face off against Sylvester Stallone, as if some fanboy had said wouldn't it be great if the boxers from Raging Bull and Rocky could fight each other. And they say originality is dead.
Killing Kennedy TV movie billboard
On the National Geographic Channel this month they were retelling the death of JFK to mark the 50th anniversary of his assassination in the TV movie event, Killing Kennedy.
Giant Frozen movie billboard Sunset Strip
And on a much lighter note, this Thanksgiving Disney's Frozen is coming to warm the hearts of a new generation, with one of the best new Disney animated movies in decades according to early reviews. Of course, it always helps when you have a cute snowman like 'Olaf' to charm the kids and adults alike in this adaptation of The Snow Queen fairytale.

Music and radio billboards
Lady Gaga Artpop billboard
This month there've been a few major records dropping like Lady Gaga's new album, Artpop. I like the Jeff Koons inspired album artwork, but have to say, I only like about three tracks on the entire album.
One Direction Midnight Memories billboard
Meanwhile, whilst the fame monster may be fizzling, the boy band One Direction continues to invade the charts with songs from their new album, Midnight Memories.
We Speak Angeleno KPCC radio billboard
And this month I also like the simplicity, colour choice and clever 'We speak Angeleno' tagline, for KPCC's local talk radio show, Take Two.

Game billboards
Giant Batman: Arkham Origins billboard
With the gift-giving season looming it was no surprise to see so many video game billboards filling the skies of L.A. during November, like this towering billboard creative for Batman: Arkham Origins at Sunset & Vine in Hollywood.
Giant Call of Duty Ghosts video game billboard
Plus the new Call of Duty: Ghosts game added another giant-sized billboard this month along L.A.'s bust Sunset Boulevard.
Assassins Creed IV Black Flag game billboard
And Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag had this cool special extension billboard along the Sunset Strip, plus more creatives for this new pirate themed installment filling the skies of the City of Angels.

Plus if you like these video game billboards, be sure to check out these giant billboards for Grand Theft Auto 5 which preceded these ads earlier this fall.

As you can see there was lots of variety filling the skyline this month, be sure to stick around in the days to come to see the best TV, fashion, drinks and lifestyle billboards also making the streets of Los Angeles a more interesting place...
