Returning favourite TV show billboards around L.A. in January 2016...

This January in addition to all the new TV shows trying to gain new viewers, many returning favourites have been filling L.A.'s skyline reminding passersby of new and final seasons. Be sure to check out all the new TV show billboards, then enjoy this collection of established series season promo ad creatives.

Walking Dead midseason 6 billboard
First up is the midseason billboard for The Walking Dead's compelling sixth season, which has really recaptured its energy after a sluggish fifth season. This ad creative hints at the larger world outside of Alexandria that the survivors of the zombie apocalypse may face next.
Better Call Saul season 2 billboard
Also on AMC is the Breaking Bad prequel spin-off, Better Call Saul, back for its sophomore season with this billboard which really challenges your visual perception.
Giant Black Sails season 3 billboard
Black Sails returns for a third seas of explosive action and pirating on the high seas of 18th century Caribbean with this giant-sized billboard on the side of Beverly Boulevard's Sofitel Hotel.
Arrow The Flash show billboards
Plus Arrow and The Flash returned for new episodes this month and this joint billboard can still be spied on the Warner Bros. Studios lot in Burbank, even though it's ben around for a while.
The Bachelor A perfect Ben season 20 billboard
From two handsome devils to another and The Bachelor returned for an amazing 20th season with 26-year-old Ben Higgins giving out the roses.
American Idol farewell season 15 billboard
Meanwhile American Idol was back for a 15th and final season on Fox, with on last chance to discover a new pop star for the reality singing contest. It already has a good track record with breakout performers like Carrie Underwood, Kelly Clarkson, Jennifer Hudson and Adam Lambert to name but a few.
Shameless season 6 billboard
Showtime's U.S. remake of Shameless was back for a sixth season this month with this fun Blaxploitation ad creative heralding the new episodes.
Workaholics season 6 Get Weirder billboard
And things were getting even weirder for the guys of Workaholics, back for a sixth season on Comedy Central with this mind-altering billboard.
Childrens Hospital season 7 billboard
On Adult Swim spoof medical drama, Childrens Hospital, was back for a bloody seventh season with this wickedly clever 'Let us touch your hearts' billboard.
Todd Margaret season 3 IFC billboard
The third season of The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, created and starring David Cross, was back on IFC and in the city skyline this January.
Portlandia season 6 IFC billboard
IFC also brought us the sixth season billboard for the Emmy-nominated Portland, Oregan-based comedy sketch show Portlandia.
Younger season 2 billboard
Over on TV Land Sutton Foster and friends were back for the sophomore season of Younger, with the continuing adventures of the forty-something single mother pretending to be twenty-something to kickstart her career and love life.
Mozart in the Jungle season 2 billboard
On Amazon, the behind-the-scenes comedy of the orchestral world was back for a second season and helped by two Golden Globe wins, one for Best TV Comedy or Musical and one for Gael GarcĂ­a Bernal for his portrayal of the show's eccentric maestro conductor.
Hit the Floor season 3 billboard
On VH1 Hit the Floor was back for a third season of drama on and off the basketball court with he professional players and cheerleaders.
Vice season 3 billboard
One of my favourite ad creatives in the skies this month was for HBO's award-winning documentary series, Vice, returning for a fourth season with this clever, evocative billboard design.

Last Week Tonight John Oliver season 3 billboard
John Oliver's Last Week Tonight show was back for a third season of humorous and insightful commentary of news, politics and current affairs with his clever ad creative featuring derogatory quotes about the series by the people he frequently lambasts.
Giant Real Time Bill Maher season 14 billboard
And speaking of politics, Bill Maher was back for a fourteenth season of Real Time with this giant-sized billboard towering over the westbound Sunset Strip.
Giant Sesame Street HBO season 46 billboard
And finally, new episodes of Sesame Street moved to HBO for its phenomenal 46th season of preschool education with infamous muppets and famous guest stars. Personally I loved seeing all my childhood favorites like 'Big Bird' and the 'Cookie Monster' large and in charge in the skies of Los Angeles in this witty and colourful ad creative.
