Returning TV show and stand-up comedy billboards around L.A. in October 2016...

With so many TV show billboards flooding the skies of L.A. this month, I had to divide them into the returning favourites (and stand-up comedy specials) and brand new series making their debut. Here's a collection of television show ad creatives back for their second, third, fourth, seventh and even twenty-third season this October 2016.

TV billboards
Walking Dead 7 Lucille baseball bat billboard
First up is this striking season seven billboard for The Walking Dead, featuring Negan's now infamous barded wire baseball bat which just brutally killed off two series regulars in the show's shocking return.
Those Who Cant season 2 billboard
On a lighter note, TruTV's teacher comedy Those Who Can't was also back in the skies in a big way this month for its sophomore season with this giant-sized apple hip flask billboard on the side of the Sunset Strip's Andaz Hotel.
Giant Blunt Talk season 2 billboard
Speaking of second seasons, and Patrick Stewart was back as talk show host 'Walter Blunt' with this fun super-sized life raft ad creative for Starz Blunt Talk on the side of Beverly Boulevard's Sofitel Hotel.
Americas Next Top Model season 23 Whats Next billboard
Meanwhile VH1 continued to tease us with the return of America's Next Top Model for its rebooted twenty-third season with this massive 'What's next' billboard at the start of the Sunset Strip on the border of Beverly Hills and West Hollywood.
Your pretty face is going to Hell season 3 billboard
Further east along the Sunset Strip as a counterpoint to the modeling reality competition show, you'll find this striking copy-only season three billboard for Adult Swim's Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell live-action demon workplace comedy.
Drunk History season 4 billboard
And as it's an election year, the streets and skies seem to have been filled with more patriotic symbols and iconography of late, whether it be homages to the Stars and Stripes flag, or witty takes on national emblems, like this fun Bald Eagle six-pack billboard for the fourth season of Comedy Central's Drunk History show.

Plus for another American Eagle-themed billboard, be sure to also check out this billboard for Jim Jefferies Freedumb comedy special.
Shameless season 7 billboard
This October the U.S. remake of Shameless was also back for a seventh season and William H. Macy's 'Gallagher' family patriarch was channeling a scruffy 'Uncle Sam'.
Vikings season 4 part 2 billboard
History's Vikings series was back in the skies with this dramatic ad creative for the second half of its twenty episode fourth season, pitting warrior against warrior.
Salem season 3 billboard
And another historical series, WGN America's Salem, was back for a third season of scheming and witchcraft in 17th century Massachusetts with this cool special extension billboard.
Scream Queens season 2 billboard
From witches to bitches, and those Scream Queens were back for a sophomore season of slasher dark comedy, moving from its college campus setting to a new hospital themed premise.
Bajillion Dollar Properties season 2 billboard
Comedy streaming channel Seeso was also back in the skies with this billboard for the second season of their Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ parody of all those reality realtor TV shows.
Meltdown season 3 billboard
The Meltdown with Jonah Ray and Kumail Nanjiani was back above the Sunset Strip with this third season billboard for their stand-up comedy show.
Kyle Kinane Loose in Chicago billboard
And this month I loved the great colour combination of this illustrated ad creative for Kyle Kinane's Loose in Chicago stand-up comedy special.
Joe Rogan Triggered billboard
Plus this Netflix stand-up billboard for Joe Rogan: Triggered also stood out along Melrose Avenue this October.
Iliza Confirmed Kills comedy special billboard
And comedian Iliza Shlesinger was hunting mermaids with this Confirmed Kills billboard for her new Netflix special.

There seems to be a real battle of the billboards at the moment between the likes of Comedy Central, Netflix, HBO and Showtime when it comes to their stand-up comedy specials.

As you can see the sprawling L.A. skyline is filled with returning TV shows this month (compare them to last year's TV billboards), but stay tuned for even more ad creatives for all the fresh new series trying to grab passersby attention too this October.
