Cool TV billboards standing out in L.A.'s February 2018 skies...

Now that the awards campaigning is over for a time, the TV industry can turn their attention back to marketing their new shows, new seasons and new comedy specials, whether they be on network television, cable, online, or a streaming platform. Here's a cool collection of TV billboards filling the streets and skies of L.A. this February 2018.

The Walking Dead was returning this month for the second part of its eighth season with three of the show's favourites characters, 'Daryl', 'Rick' and 'Michonne', making their last stand.
McMafia series premiere billboard
And no McDonalds wasn't taking over the criminal underworld, but McMafia was telling the tale of a Russian global crime families.
Homeland season 7 billboard
Claire Danes 'Carrie Mathison' was striding back into action for the seventh season of Homeland, taking on a paranoid U.S. President. Speaking of eye-catching designs and Netflix's new sci-fi adaptation Altered Carbon was really turning heads this month.

Netflix really has mastered the art of enticing viewers, like with this vague Tamborine teaser for Chris Rock's first stand-up special in ten years.

And speaking of comedy specials and Marlon Wayans was debuting his 'Woke-ish' stand-up gig on the streaming service this month.

Clare Hope-Ashitey was also in the skies for Netflix's new crime drama about the cover-up of a black teenager's death by a Jersey City white cop in Seven Seconds.

Meanwhile on a lighter note, Queer Eye (for the Straight Guy) was being revived on the streaming service this month with some a new 'Fab Five' and some wonderfully emotional makeover episodes.

Joel McHale was making the most of green screen again with his new Netflix series, returning to his E! The Soup roots with some brand new content and pithy commentary.

And Netflix was also parodying the mid-1990s with their new teen comedy drama, Everything Sucks.

Meanwhile on The CW, Lucy Hale was moving on from Pretty Little Liars with her new series about a young woman diagnosed with cancer who suddenly finds herself cured and no longer with a Life Sentence.

This month The Tick returned to the city skyline with all-new episodes for the first season of his Amazon Prime reboot.

And speaking of music, The Voice was back for a fourteenth season with Kelly Clarkson joining the coaches.

Now that weed has been legalised in California for recreational use HBO's High Maintenance pot comedy may see like old news, but you have to love this psychedelic season two key art.

Meanwhile this season five ad creative for Last Week Tonight with John Oliver really made me smile, because we all feel this way at the moment living in Trump's America.

And finally for this month, Jimmy Kimmel returns to host the 90th Oscars in the live awards ceremony. Let's hope it goes smoother than last year.
