May 2018's TV billboards around L.A.'s streets and skies...

In the world of television there's never a dull moment these days. The streaming platforms like Netflix, Hulu and Amazon continue to pump out new quality content, whilst networks like ABC find themselves cancelling hit sitcom revivals like Roseanne after the star's racist tweets. Here's a collection of the new and returning TV shows turning heads around L.A. this May 2018.

Citizen Rose series premiere billboard
First up is this billboard for Citizen Rose, Rose McGowan's new docu-series springing out of the #METOO movement that she helped start by standing up to serial rapists and predators like Harvey Weinstein.
Dietland series premiere billboard
AMC's new series Dietland, based on the debut novel by Sarai Walker, tackles the media's depiction of women in the fashion and beauty industry and society in general, plus a secret cabal of feminists rise up to exact revenge on abusive men.
Giant American Woman series premiere billboard
Meanwhile Mena Suvari, Alicia Silverstone and Jennifer Bartels are set to star in the new Paramount Network sitcom, American Woman, based on the early life of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards.
Giant Impulse series premiere billboard
In YouTube Red's new original series, Impulse, a 16-year-old high school girl discovers she has the power to teleport in this adaptation of Jumper series of novels by Steven Gould.
Giant Animal Kingdom season 3 billboard
In the world of returning shows, Animal Kingdom was back for a third season of crime family shenanigans in Southern California.
World of Dance season 2 billboard
Another show getting some super-sized support, this time for its sophomore season, was NBC's World of Dance reality competition.
Americas Got Talent season 13 billboard
Meanwhile America's Got Talent was back for a thirteenth season of contestants singing, dancing and entertaining audiences and judges.
Four Battle for Stardom season 2 billboard
The Four: Battle for Stardom is returning for a second season, but minus first season music exec judge Charlie Walk, who has been accused of sexual misconduct.
Beat Shazam season 2 billboard
Over on Fox, Jamie Foxx returns with the second season of the music game show Beat Shazam.
Love Connection season 2 billboard
Plus Andy Cohen is back to host a sophomore outing of the revived dating show, Love Connection.
Dear White People season 2 billboard
Over on streaming giant Netflix, Dear White People was back for a second season of social satire.
13 Reasons Why season 2 billboard
Plus teen suicide drama 13 Reasons Why was back with another mystery for its sophomore season, with polaroids replacing audio cassettes to drive the narrative.

Fauda season 2 billboard
The Israeli political thriller, Fauda (meaning chaos in Arabic), was also making a dramatic entrance in the city skyline for its second season on Netflix.

The gritty espionage drama focuses on real-life events like terrorism in the Middle East.
Arrested Development season 5 billboard
On a lighter note, Arrested Development returns to Netflix for a fifth season after five years. However the season is split into two batches of episodes, plus the comedy has not been without its controversy surrounding its supposedly on-set abusive star Jeffrey Tambor.
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt season 4 billboard
Another returning comedy, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, is back for her fourth season, which is also split in two batches of all-new episodes.
Break Michelle Wolf Netflix billboard
After making quite the impression at the White House Correspondents' Dinner, The Break with Michelle Wolf shines a spotlight on the comedian in a topical weekly talkshow.
Ali Wong Hard knock wife billboard
And speaking of funny business and Ali Wong returned to the skies with a new stand-up special, Hard Knock Wife, this month.

Comic John Mulaney was also back with a new Netflix stand-up special, Kid Gorgeous at Radio City.

And Evil Genius was a new Netflix documentary series about a real-life diabolical bank robber.

Meanwhile this billboard in West Hollywood was trying to encourage LGBT fans to help get the Naomi Watts therapist drama on Netflix renewed.
Trollhunters Tales of Arcadia season 3 billboard
Netflix certainly seems to have something for everyone and animated series, Trollhunters: Tales of Arcadia, was back in the skies for a third and final season.

Speaking of animation and Adult Swim's FLCL series was getting some billboard supporting for its third season.

Over on Showtime, Benedict Cumberbatch was bringing Patrick Melrose to life in a mini-series adapting the semi-autobiographical novels of Edward St. Aubyn.

And Audience was adapting James Grady's 1974 CIA conspiracy thriller, Six Days of the Condor, in episodic format for summer viewing.

And speaking of family drama, HBO's new series Succession is about a dysfunctional global media dynasty.

Cloak & Dagger were new superheroes springing from the pages Marvel Comics in a new Freeform teen drama.

And over on Starz the battle for Power continued with a fifth season starring 50 Cent, Joseph Sikora and Omari Hardwick.

Plus Wrong Man was a new true crime documentary series investigating potentially innocent people incarcerated for decades.

This month the History channel was bringing back its military drama based on the Navy Seal Team Six just in time for Memorial Day, with Olivia Munn joining the cast as a no-nonsense CIA officer.

Comic Jack Whitehall was bringing his British humour to YouTube with a new unscripted comedy series, Training Days.
