Summer TV billboards around L.A.'s streets and skies in June 2018...

This month in addition to all the onslaught of Emmy consideration billboards filling the city skyline, there were more than a few outdoor ads for new shows, seasons and specials from streaming services, cable channel, online platforms and broadcast television. Take a gander at what TV programs are vying for your time this summer.

Strange Angel server premiere billboard
First up is a new offering from CBS All Access based on George Pendle's biography Strange Angel: The Otherworldly Life of Rocket Scientist John Whiteside Parsons, a true tale set in 1930s L.A. about the mysterious worlds of science and the occult.
Sense 8 series finale billboard
Streaming giant Netflix was celebrating Pride Month with the two-hour series finale of Sense8, giving fans closure for what happened to these psychically-linked eight characters from around the globe and their loved ones.
Queer Eye season 2 billboard
Another LGBT fan-favourite was back this month for a sophomore season, the reality makeover show Queer Eye.
GLOW season 2 neon sign billboard
The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling from the 80s were back and ready to rumble for their second season on Netflix with a smattering of fun neon sign GLOW billboards around L.A.
Luke Cage season 2 billboard
Plus Marvel's bulletproof black hero was back to defend Harlem in the sophomore season of the Netflix comic book series, and if you're fan of the character you can also check out this special 3D billboard installation for Luke Cage entertaining the city skies this month.
Power season 5 billboard
Over on Starz their hit drama starring Omari Hardwick was back in a bold way for its fifth season.
Giant Claws season 2 billboard
Plus Niecy Nash and the girls of her Florida nail salon were back for a sophomore season of Claws with this giant-sized ad creative.
Love Is series launch billboard
OWN was bringing us some romantic drama this month with Love Is, the story of real-life television producing couple, Mara Brock and Salim Akil.
Greenleaf season 3 billboard
Plus the religious drama Greenleaf about a sprawling Memphis megachurch was back for a third season of dark secrets and lies.
Snowfall season 2 billboard
Over on FX, Snowfall was in the forecast for summer viewing with this wonderfully vibrant ad creative for the sophomore season of the 1980s crack cocaine drama.
Kevin Costner Yellowstone series premiere billboard
Kevin Costner was trying his hand at television with his new Paramount Network drama, Yellowstone, about a ranching family in Montana forcibly protecting their land.
Giant Sharp Objects series premiere billboard
Amy Adams was also taking a break from the big screen fro her new HBO limited series, Sharp Objects, an episodic adaptation of Gillian Flynn's debut novel.
Castle Rock series premiere billboard
And speaking of writers, prolific horror and fantasy novelist Stephen King was teaming up with J.J. Abrams to deliver tales of intertwining stories in the fictional Maine town of Castle Rock on Hulu's streaming platform.

Meanwhile Mark Stone was playing a retired British spy drawn back into the shadowy life in Epix's Deep State.
Goliath season 2 billboard
Over on Amazon Prime, Billy Bob Thornton is drawn back into the world of law to protect a friend's son in what seems like a simple double homicide case, but it soon turns into more a wide-ranging conspiracy in the second season of Goliath.
Preacher season 3 billboard
AMC's crazy adaptation of the Preacher comic book was back for a third season with this quirky billboard.
Take Two series premiere billboard
And ABC was offering up a new take on their popular show Castle, this time the premise has a disgraced actress from a long-running cop show teaming up with an L.A. Private Eye to solve crimes in Take Two.
The Affair season 4 billboard
Showtime's adultery drama The Affair was back for a fourth season of secrets and lies from different people's perspectives, and I really loved this dreamy ad creative this month.
Bold Type season 2 Dont you shush me mural ad
Freefrom had this fun painted wall mural ad to help promote the second season of their New York magazine world dramedy, The Bold Type.
TKO Total Knock Out series premiere billboard
If you were looking something lighter than drama this summer then comedian Kevin Hart had a new obstacle course competition show, TKO: Total Knock Out, to entertain the masses.
Four Battle for Stardom season 2 billboard
Plus singing competition, The Four: Battle for Stardom, was back for a second season of vocals and judging.
Gordon Ramsey 24 Hrs Hell Back billboard
In Gordon Ramsey's 24 Hrs to Hell and Back the celebrity chef hits the road to help struggling restaurants across the U.S. in his mobile kitchen.
Phenoms season 2 billboard
Plus the Gordon Ramsey is also the narrator of the second season of Phenoms, the soccer documentary series about the road to the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Deed Season 2 Sidney Torres billboard
Over on NBC, property mogul Sidney Torres was also back for a sophomore season of his reality show helping investors in The Deeds.
Detroiters season 2 billboard
Plus in the world of comedy, the Detroiters were back for a second season to help you with all your advertising needs.

Comic Michelle Wolf continued to dispense her statical take on the world's events in her new Netflix series, The Break.

Whilst comedy legends Steve Martin and Martin Short were teaming up to deliver a live event you wouldn't soon forget.

Plus Australian comedian Hannah Gadsby was getting her own Netflix stand-up special this June with Nanette, which is more like the baring of her soul.

And activist and standup comic W. Kamau Bell was mixing comedy and politics in his new special, Private School Negro.

Real Time's Bill Maher was getting his own stand-up special live from Oklahoma without any guests on HBO.

And at the start of the month, it looked like someone was parodying iconic sitcom Friends with this YouTube spoof Amigos.

And finally, it looks like there's another way for you to watch television on the Pluto TV app. Remember when people wanted bigger and bigger TV screens? Now everyone is happy to watch on their tiny smartphones and tablets.

As you can see there's still not enough time in the day to watch all these shows, so make your choice carefully.
