April 2019's eye-catching TV billboards around L.A...

Another month has flown by and once agin the skies of L.A. have been crammed to the rafters with eye-catching billboards for new shows, returning favourites, mini-series, stand-up specials and documentary series. Take a look at some of the head-turning ad creatives that caught my eye around the city this April 2019.

First up are these amazing wildlife billboards for Netflix's natural world documentary series, Our Planet.

Netflix was also debuting lots of new original series this month, like the new sitcom Special about a twenty-something gay man with mild Cerebral Palsy making his way in the world.

Plus Chambers was proving some supernatural scares when a teenage girl needs a heart transplant and starts exhibiting the personality of the donor.

And if you want more horror, then Black Summer was telling the gory tale of the early days of the zombie apocalypse and one mother's quest to find her missing daughter.

The streaming giant was also teaming up Christina Applegate and Linda Cardellini in the darkly comic series, Dead To Me, about a powerful new friendship.

And No Good Nick was a new family comedy starring Melissa Joan Hart and Sean Astin about a street-smart girl (Siena Agudong) who turns up on their doorstep and claims to be a distant relative.

France's answer to Jerry Seinfeld, Gad Elmaleh, was trying his luck with his new Netflix comedy this month with Huge in France.
Selling Sunset season 1 billboard
Plus the streaming service was adding to its reality programming with the realty show specialising in high end clients, Selling Sunset, starring The Oppenheim Group.

And it was bolstering its foodie documentary offerings with Street Food: Asia, following in the footsteps of culinary series like Chef's Table.

Obviously one of the biggest TV events this month was the return of Game of Thrones for its climactic eighth and final season.

An eclectic mix of food, drinks and more lifestyle billboards filling L.A.'s April 2019 skyline...

The weather in L.A. this month has been as varied as the lifestyle billboards filling the city's bustling streets and skies. Here's a cool collection of all the food, drinks, health, recreational cannabis, technology and more outdoor ads trying to turn heads this April 2019.

A friend said to me this month that the skies of L.A. are either filled with Netflix billboards or cannabis outdoor ads and that seems so true of late, as evidenced by this relaxed giant-sized billboard for Eaze and its recreational weed delivery service. There's obviously a lot of money in legal pot these days.

At the same time MedMen and their dispensaries were touting a new normal to cannabis consumption in California.

Plus The Bong Symphony was ready to supply cannabis products at wholesale prices this April.
Weedmaps California voters approved cannabis billboard
And Weedmaps was reminding commuters and passersby that California voters were overwhelmingly in favour of adult-use cannabis, even if some cities and counties were still resistant to its sale.
