At the same time Marvel Comics fans could also get a closer look at Sophie Turner's costumes from Dark Phoenix, the new X-Men movie and likely the last film made by Fox Studios now that Disney has bought back the rights to the mutant universe.

Daniel Orlandi was Costume Designer on the X-Men film and the outfits were also accompanied by the wheelchair used by James McAvoy as the mind-reading 'Professor X'.

If fantasy is more your thing, then you'll probably enjoy learning more about J.R.R. Tolkien in the new biopic about his early life, with the infamous author of The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit played by Nicholas Hoult.

Colleen Kelsall was Costume Designer on this period drama shining a spotlight on some of the life experiences that helped shape Tolkien's magical stories.

As you can see it's been nerd heaven these past few weeks, although now that superheroes have gone mainstream, it seems like everyone's a fan of comic book characters these days.

Let's hope the summer is equally packed with cool costumes and props on display...
